Icon3 7th gen 03 accord serious fog light malfunction

Hey Guys!

i have an 03ex-l v6 6spd. the car is equiped with genuine honda fog lights.i just installed ebay replacment fog lights on the car because i refused to 200 bucks for fog lights that where just going to probably break again. just before i replaced both of them the one light that was working stopped working so i figured since the lens had holes in it the light blew out from dirt and water getting into it.

it turns out for some reason the blue/red wire in the black relay, which is the main power wire turns to ground when the relay closes the circiut with blu/yellow wire. when i apply power to the blu/yellow wire with my power probe with out the relay the lights turn on? im really stumped. im wondering why is it that main power turns to ground and not blow the fuse? i even replaced the black relay with the 5point relay that came with the ebay fog lights so i could test everything easier. is there another relay in the curcuit? how do i know if it's a bad ground?

Thanx in advance

Yes. There is a fog light relay 1 too. The fog light relay you are referring to is relay 2. They should be right next to each other. From relay 1, the blu wire from terminal 3 is the fog light output which goes to the fog light switch. The grn wire from the fog light switch is the fog light control which goes to terminal 2 of relay 2. As you have already realize the blu/yel from terminal 3 of relay 2 is the fog light output; as the light turn on with power to the blu/yel wire.

The right fog light ground blk goes to terminal 4 of relay 2 and ground. The left fog light ground blk goes to terminal 4 of relay 1 and ground. Both are grounded at ground location G20.

Check wires for open, connections tight, etc. too.

well did more digging today. the ground is not the problem. it seams only when the relay 2 (black) is doing the work, the system doesn't work. but when i apply direct power to the blu/yel wire with my power probe the lights come on????????? how could i check for open shorts if the wires are tucked in wire loom? all connections are tight. i checked both relays and there is no continuity in them when they are not plugged in, and they both click.
