If that's your work it looks quite promising. I'm also in for the numbers ... that is, if you decide to put that puppy on a flow bench

Not my work...but it is my head...the head was done probably 3 years ago by chad barber at ctr dynosports...this head was ported very similar to the heads he ported for the drag cars i was able to extract 290-300whp out of (only difference is those heads have 1mm oversize valves). those cars all went low 10's. i just ran across the pics on my old tuning laptop and thought i would throw them up for the fun of it.
when the head comes back off the car for new guides/seals/valves i will probably have it flowed just out of curiousity. im also talking to ccc about doing some other work to it and flowing the head.

Artie, Chads heads looks good, ive seen some of his other head work while i was at his shop a few years back, one i was looking at kinda looks like the one u pictured, but im not so sure, I know his drag hatchback did 10.50's the last time i saw it running at Sacramento, was he using his own headwork on that drag hatchback? anyways the only way to tell is get it up on the bench. good luck

Yes chad does his own head porting. This head seems like such a waste on my little 1.8 liter motor.
That car has gone faster then 10.50's

yes i know chad does head porting, but the head u have will depend on how much he opened up the ports. u should talk to chad directly about this head, he should know what has been done to it and should be able to tell u if it'll work on the set-up ur doing.

i did talk to him....watched him do it while i worked for him (this is the head off the b16a2 from my 00 si)....but he has never flowed his heads...he just runs them at the track for his testing. head has been working great on my motor for about 3 years now

those pictures of my head are on his desk in his office (hard to believe since that desk always had so much stuff on it)...you probably have seen it...after thinking about it...was probably more like 4-5 years ago he ported the head...ive been back living in los banos for 3 years now so it had to be more then 3 years ago.
he was damn proud of the job he did on it and i cant thank him enough for the work he did on it. guy knows his stuff. now that he tunes he is pretty much a one stop shop. (although i do miss the tuning days...i enjoyed it but im back working in the field of my degree)

what?!?....he didnt "get rid of the quench pads"..... this is a unmilled pr3 head.... this is different from a p72 head http://static.summitracing.com/globa...17074020_w.jpg ....the pr3 still has "quench pads" they are just recessed (thank god they are as im running PCT pistons)
