Default Which Coilover Would Be The Best?

I'm thinking about upgrading my suspension and I'm trying to decide on what coilovers to get.

What's the difference between Skunk2 Pro-C Coilovers and the Skunk2 Pro-S II Coilovers? They seem to be virtually identical to me but I'm not a really a suspension expert so I don't know all of the differences. Are the Pro-C's really worth the extra money over the Pro-S II's?

Also how are the Tein Basic Damper's?

I'm going to also be installing Function7 LCA's, ASR Subframe Brace and either an ASR 24mm rear sway bar or a Civic Type-R 22mm rear sway bar (which would you guys suggest out of those two?) so which of the 3 coilovers would be best to run with that setup? I'm also thinking of adding a Beaks lower tie bar and if I were to do that I could still run a sway bar or would I even need to run a sway bar? This is a daily driver that I'm just looking to lower and get better handling out of. I'm not going to be tracking it or anything like that.

Also my car is a DX so I don't think it has a front sway bar on it. Do I need to also add a front sway bar so that I don't have massive over or understeer (I know with the rear suspension setup that I'm already going to have some understeer to begin with)? If I do what size and brand would you recommend?

Depending Skunk 2 coilovers are stiff and ride like crap.. few of my friends have them on their Ek's and man garbage.. I would suggest TEIN, if you like the stock and smooth ride. I also heard FUNCTION rides pretty smooth just not as expensive as tein.
cant go wrong on FUNCTION OR SKUNK 2 LCA's dont waste your money on BLOX..
and yes you can run a sway bar with a lower BEAKS TIE BAR.
i have ASR BAR, BEAKS TOWER TIE BAR,AND SKUNK 2 LCA .. smooth
hope this helps..

It was helpful. Thanks man!

What do you think of Ksport coilovers? I have the same thread posted on CtVTEC because I post there too and a guy on there recommended Ksport coilovers if I wanted to stay in the Pro-S price range. Do you think those are any good?

This is what you should buy given your budget

<$600 = Progress CS-II and MAYBE Function Type 1

>$600 = Koni + Ground Control or Buddy Club N+ Spec

>$800 = AMR coilovers or PIC coilovers

That's pretty much all I would buy. Ever. I bolded my personal preference. Mostly because you get a variety of springrate options.

I would also recommend against a 24mm. That's a HUGE bar. Stick with some "OE" type bar. 19-22mm.

Yeah pretty much although I could spend more, like up to $1200, but I'd really prefer to spend no more then $800 so I could get other parts as well.

koni/gc $799 shipped from thmotorsports

just figure out which rates you want to buy before you order. best value for your $ too

if you REALLY want to go skunk buy the pro c's the pro s never seems to make people happy and the C has much more flex as well as the ability to control some fairly stiff springs

Agreed. With a $1200 budget getting the Koni/GC setup leaves you with flexibility and some wiggle room for swaybars, bushings, and the like.
