Walbro 255 and DPFI Issue
Hey Folks,
A while back I bought a heep O' crap CRX. It did not run however after undoing all the crap the idiots before did, I got it started and idling pretty well. I've thoroughly cleaned the fuel system, including tank, lines, filters injectors and TB. All of the ignition is new (Previous owner - thanks you idiot!).
My problem is this, With both injectors plugged in, if I throttle it hard at idle, it stumbles and back fires mildly, then catches and revs up. If I unplug the Aux injector it throttles up just fine. So, I'm pretty sure the Walbro 255 is overwhelming the aux injector. Does anyone know how to help this for the time being. As soon as I get my hands on a good B20 - The 1.5 DX is outta there but for now it's a good beater and cheap on gas so I want to clear this problem up. Plus I need to road test it.
I know there was something mentioned somewhere about drilling a hole in the pressure reg. Does anyone know about this and how to do it in this DX case. The car is an 1989 CRX DX all stock accept the pump. I guess I could just through the old pump in but I'm not confident in it. I think it's crap and partly seized or seizing.
