Brake light is on
It's not a bad bulb, I checked.
93 LX
I started the car, pulled the parking brake down and the light stayed on.
I drove on it, it stayed on, drove back home after the store and it was still on.
anybody got any ideas?

parking brake light, or brake light?
Parking brake light: very possible bad switch/bad switch adjustment (you will need to remove center console to verify)
Brake light: Possible low brake fluid (check for leak), or problem with sensor/wiring (brake fluid reservoir)

It's the light on the console in red that says BRAKE.
The "Brake light" indicator is the one that lights up under the car figure on the odometer that let's you know when the doors are open on the car. That means a tail light is out.
The "BRAKE" light is the light for the parking brake.
Check to make sure your brake fluid is topped off. Also, the switch for the emergency brake handle could be sticking. You might have t take the center console apart to check that though,

I was at the shop the other week, and they did a "brake adjustment" for me.
It doesn't look like they opened up my center console. They said they cleaned out the drums in the back etc..

The "BRAKE" light is either telling you the fluid is low or that the emerg brake is on.....not sure if it like the 5th gens or not, if the 5th gen is driven with the emerg brake on it will set the ABS as well.
So the car thinks either the Brake fluid is low or that the emerg brake is on. Check the fluid, and wires.

I had the same problem happen with my brake light for my emergency brake. It would come on and come off and sometimes stay on...my brake fluid was good and my brakes had no problems....I had a buddy play with the console switch and the wire sensor was replaced. Problem fixed.
Took a closer look at my 4th gen console. I only have ONE brake light.
The guys at the shop adjusted my brakes and the parking brake got alot tighter. It doesn't look like they took out the console. Can that kind of adjustment be made without pulling out the console?
Didn't get a chance to check the fluid today, but will do so tomorrow. Drove it today and the light was still on.
I do live in a cold climate right not, Michigan. It's been 20's lately.
I suspect the cold is making something "stick" and triggering the sensor

Just checked the level, fluid is low.
Does that mean I have a leak somewhere?
Also what is a good place to get the OEM fluid online?

Started the car today and I lost significant pressure at the brake pedal. Lost even more by lunchtime, had to step down pretty deep, even then it wasn't firm.
Just got back from the dealer and topped off the fluid, I had lost more fluid than when I checked yesterday afternoon.
I also noticed a small puddle of wetness where I was parked both this morning and when I pulled out to go to honda. I looked underneath the car just now, I see drops on the ground and I also see wetness under the chassis.
I would assume at this point I have a leak in the brake system.
Quite coincidental just a week after the shop did a brake adjustment that I am experiencing a leak....
Topped off about 1/2 a pint.
Do leaks in the lines just occur on their own or is my suspicion of the shop warranted?
At this point I'd be weary taking it back to them to touch my car again, even if they are responsible.

Could they have loosened a nut in my line and caused a SLOW leak?
Edit: I just took a look and think I found the leak.
beneath the MBC (not sure how to describe this) there are 2 Y like metaljoints with some yellow paint over each fork. One is on top of the other. I touched the top one and its dry, I touched the bottom one and its wet. The yellow paint came off too, most likely from the brake fluid eating the paint.
Do I need to replace a part or tighten those nuts at each fork? I will check after work if the nuts are loose.

I didn't go to the dealer this was a shop. I ordered tires from the rack and this was one of their recommended installers. They adjusted my rear brake as one of the things they found while did my tire swap. I think they would have no reason to mess with that portion of my brake system. So maybe they just messed with it to make me come back, loosen it and create a slow leak.
I'm having a tough time finding the tool(s) I need to turn those nuts, it's kinda tight.
I know its 10mm, was just at the store and they let me try a wrench.
I got the wrench in there, but no space to turn. Kept feeling around down there, not even sure if it is the nut, could it be something else in that region?

I found this thread and proportioning valve looks like that, that hole he is pointing to, I also noticed it was exposed like in his pic.
Is that supposed to be plugged up with something?

Ok, I think I found the leak.
I dried off the area, then stepped on the pedal and checked and new fluid squeezed out.
I believe that hole is supposed to be plugged up. Can anyone verify my conclusions?

I just called the shop and addressed the matter to them, obviously the denied anything related to it.
Is it possible to tamper with this valve as depicted?
It's just suspicious, I can trace the leakage rate back to around the time I was there.
