aftermarket V forks for civic
Im looking for a few companies that make aftermarket v forks for the front suspension for 92-00 civics. i remember there being a thread about this but can't seem to find it. or im just searching with the wrong words. any help would be great. thanks
Are you talking about the front shock forks? Anything other than stock is kind of obsolete with all of the shirt body shocks, extended top hats, etc that are on the market these days.
More options for custom knuckles that raise the axle while keeping the attachment points in the stock locations, now thats what I'd like to see (i.e. fab-man, ryanne, etc)

yes the front shock forks, or v forks. its all the same. and there is a company that makes them so the car sits lower.
it helps with lowering the car and keeping more suspension travel, because you dont have to turn the coils all the way down.

Suspension Techniques used to make them but discontinued them due to them not being OE reliable. I think there was a reasonable rate of failure that made them scrap the product. I can't say if there ever was a recall where they got the sold units off the street so you may be able to find a used pair out there.
I don't think there was a recall, but they just weren't as good of a solution as an extended top hat, which basically does the same thing at the other end of the shock cheaper and without axle clearance issues.
At the end of the day though, the real limitation to ride height is uca clearance at the strut tower.
