i just did a 5speed swap to my ef hatch a few days back and only now am i wanting to change the ecu. . . i was just wondering, if i buy a obd0 5speed ecu and swap it over my auto ecu is it easy installment like plug and play, or do i need to install new harnesses and everything. thanks everyone please help

jw, I put a 5 speed ecu in my car when I did the 5 speed swap and Im dropping in a B18. Since Im using a 5 speed ecu do I still have to rewire the plugs where the auto shifter used to be?

 

Yes an auto will only start in park or neutral and with the auto shifter removed there is nothing to make the right contacts to let the car start.
