Default gas gauge giving wrong readin

i pulled the gauge cluster out the other day and took out the gas gauge to check the light. i put it back in, start the car up and the needle went straight up to full. the gas tank is empty and it was showing empty before. its a DA6 integra 92 please help

^^^agreed! You shouldn't have to take it apart to mess with bulbs.

the needle is calibrated. you're not supposed to remove it. there is probably a re-calibration procedure floating around somewhere though

i remember with my vw, there was a mark on the cluster used for a guide to return the needle. maybe same with honda. dunno. google it or sthg
