how can you tell if a tranny has a lsd in it? what to look for? how to test it out without installing? i have a tranny stamped lsd but am now unsure of its limited slip potential. any help?

 

This comes up every day, just look through it. If you see something, its not lsd, if you can see right through it, then its not lsd.

 

what? if you can see though it its not and if you cant its not? then why would i look though it at all? j/k which way though?

 

i dont know what he was talking about lol probably a mistype. u should ahve looked a little harder before posting, because i just replied to a topic with the same quesiton 2 days ago. if u can see straight through where your axles plug in, its an LSD. the standard ones have a pin in themiddle where the axles plug in.

 

i also heard there is lsd stamped on it or put on the tranny somewhere not sure though...i also heard if its lsd youll know it!!!

 

thats the problem, the cse has the lsd stamp but apparently the tranny is not lsd.
