exhaust manifold question

it goes apparently in between the manifold to pipe but it has no opening for it, its suppose to be a gasket but i dont if im right with the location?

Yup, it goes right where the manifold meets the down pipe. It's called a flange gasket. There will be an indentation on the down pipe for it to sit in place.

You sure you got the right size? Don't forget that these are meant to be crushed to fill in the space and seal better. Can you take a picture with this thing on?
