Default GE Scatter Shield Fitment?

I bought one used, so maybe its bent slightly? Or maybe its not designed to bolt to a cable tranny? Im using a YS1 (92-93 Integra GSR case).

The bottom bolt, and the top front bolt lined up perfectly. But the rear bolt/bracket doesnt line up even close. It actually looks like I should bend it down slightly, to get it close to the case in the back, but its still an inch or two away from the T-Bracket mounting spot.

Anyone else have this issue? Or know why I am?

I just put mine on this past week and had no problems. The rear bolt doesn't go to the bolt on the t bracket. There is another hole right above it towards the front a little more in the block. It uses a 17mm headed bolt also.

Oh, it bolts to the block, not the tranny, but at another spot?

Im actually doing a D2B, so I wont have that same mounting location. Ill have to modify it, or make a new bracket/tab.

Well damn. I guess that answers my question.

Does anyone have a pic of this mounting location?

you take out the bolts that hold the transmission to the block and then reinstall them with the scattershield in the proper place. I don't see why it wouldn't fit on a cable trans unless there are clearance issues with the throwout bearing arm mechanism.

I have one on my cable setup. I had to do a little grinding on one mounting tab, and push pretty hard to get the lower back bolt on

So far, I bolted mine up to the trans, without a motor attached. I ran a bolt through the top front, one to the bottom rear, and then the top rear is what I was questioning. I thought maybe it was supposed to bolt to the T-Bracket spot.

But mine is going on a D2B, so if it bolts to the block, in front of the T-Bracket spot, I wont have that location anyways. But it seems to fit fine otherwise.

And yes, as far as it not fitting a cable, I know the Y1/S1/J1 (90-91 small spline) trannies have a slightly different case. But it mainly bolts to the block, so I dont see how it wont fit. I have the YS1 (92-93), and it seems to fit well, now that I know the rear top bracket isnt going to line up for me anyways.

I will take pictures later. But if you compare a hydro case with a 92-93 cable case, they are almost identical. Minus the obvious clutch arm/lever. Ill try and post up tomorrow, how mine looks without a block bolted inplace.

I have an h2b setup and the GE scatter shield for a b series didnt work for me either. It hit my slave cylinder setup. I ended up having to make my own...
