Yes, i did search and all the threads came back without a solution.
My Domelight, Trunk Light, Cigarette Lighter, and HVAC lights don't work. Left front bumper turn singal does not work either. Bumper light was gone for a while, but the other stuff happened suddenly and recently.
My stereo however did work (Original EF Honda Cassette player with EQ)
We wired up a Panasonic headunit but the headunit does not power up.
Could it be a bad ground causing a power drain and causing the aftermarket headunit not work work? What ground could it be? I went through my manuals trying to find ground location but results came back inconclusive.
Checked Fuses and were fine...
Thanks!
It's an 89 Hatch.

That's odd, hard to say over the net, I'd have to be there and do some diagnosing with a meter to figure this one out for sure, I'd start with fuses and grounds, also, just because you don't see a fuse blown to pieces does not mean it is good, sometimes on rare occasions they will nearly break, but not completely, this creates a higher resistance, and less flow of voltage. If you have a new fuse pop it in there and see if that works. Also, I know the dimmer switch sometimes causes electrical issues.
You probably caused a short and blew a fuse when you wired up your stereo. Check the wires going to your stereo and you should see that there are two power wires. One is constant/memory (#5) and the other is accessory/ignition (#4) and only tuns on when the key is in the ignition. Put your key in the ignition and test both wires to see which one is not getting power. (accessory fuse is in dash and constant fuse is in the under hood fuse box)
Check all fuses in both fuse boxes

You can test for ground by turning your meter to "continuity" and attach one lead to ground. Then attach the other lead to the ground wire of the radio/chassis of the radio, and you should have continuity. You can always run your own ground. Just attach a wire to a good ground and attach it to the chassis of the radio.

Based off this i checked all the fuses and missed No. 12..
So i went back and checked it turns out there was no fuse in No.12 popped in a 15A and it blew. This is off a 89 CRX Si, would it be different for a 89 STD Hatch?
