stumped: 98 integra/no power
hokay...the basic info:
-recently purchased 98 integra ls
-all stock, factory cd player
-had an aftermarket alarm, turned the key and no power. alarm was removed and i still have no power
according to the previous owner, the car sat for a few months. when it was shut off the last time it had no issues. the battery was out the whole time and now that a battery is in, i have no power (as it seems) anywhere in the car. no lights, no clicks, no buzzes...not even any sparks that could point me in the right direction. the car is literally dead.
before anybody says any dumb **** like check fuses/grounds and whatnots...i have...like 10 times.
when you turn the key, nothing happens as if the battery is disconnected. however when you start testing, there is power all over the car. all grounds, fuses, relays have been checked, replaced, double tested...still nothing. every fuse is good, all connections are good, all wires that were messed with during the removal were soldered properly.
any hints to where i could start testing and trying other things? i've followed wiring diagrams to basically the ignition switch and everything checks out. is it possible for the whole underdash fuse panel to go bad? or possibly the engine bay panel?

Your going to be mad at me for telling you this, but your problem is a ground (most likely the one from the negative cable of the battery to the chassis). Grind down the paint and re-ground it.
The car does have an ecu right? Sorry just want to be sure. Your could always jump the starter motor from the battery to see if you can get the car to crank.
it was something stupid. its either the ignition tumbler or switch. i unscrewed the switch and turned it with a screwdriver...bada bing bada boom...it starts.
