from what i've heard, any rear sway bar smaller then 19mm is okay. bigger then that, worry.

No, it is not. However is is recomended with anything bigger then a 19mm.

I currently have a sway bar with no brace, however it's only a 13mm.

What size sway bar are you planning to go with?

OP is asking if he can use the ASR brace WITHOUT a swaybar. I don't see why not, it's just like a tie bar otherwise.

You can do that just fine. Progress actually makes a 22mm swaybar that doesn't need a subframe brace. It mounts up differently. Pretty interesting. Progress actually claims that the subframe brace is a waste of money with their bar.

2 years?

Sway bars aren't that expensive.

Maybe he just doesn't need one for his setup. Then again, an asr brace is pretty excessive without a bar.

I don't see the point in having a asr without a sway bar.
Well other than bling

I got mine before I got the bar for money reasons. But it was only a month or two. ASR + 22mm bar was probably the best thing Ive done to the car.

Well, I think that is a complety different thing. Not haveing the money at that point and time VS. buying the bar just for the appeal is different.
Idk, I am glad I'm not the only one who feels it is excessive or a waste of money to not actually use it for a large sway bar. I do know several poeple who only bought it for bling and have no intensions on using it for a larger sway bar.

I have to say ASR makes a fine product, but using the plate alone is diffinitly bling! One expensive lower tie bar oh to the OP, yes it is do-able

Whats the point of getting an ASR brace if you're not planning on getting a sway-bar? That's just a waste of money. flash ftl.
