So i put in my hids yesterday and i have no high beams, whats the cause of this because its just one bulb?
BUT the stock oem bulb is one bulb as well, and has highbeams lol (:

 

would there be any way to make my high beams come back? (although i dont really need them that much) it just would be nice to configure it somehow to make them come back (:

 

You need to buy a bi-xenon HID kit. One that has both high and low beam. The one you have is only low beam.

Stock bulbs are dual filament, however HID's are not. As stated above, you shouldn't need high beams with an HID kit.

 

well, the high beams are helpful when u gotta annoy the single rollen *** that cuts u ur wife n child off while ur doin 70 in traffic in the carpool

 

you would need to buy the bi kit to have low and hi beams. i got a 98 civic and i got just low beams. it doesnt matter. i got used to it. you never really hi beam any one.

 

High beams come in handy for those a holes that like to drive with their high beams on,

 

If he bought an "HID kit" he's already high-beaming everyone.

when you install the HID kit the globes sit at a different angle and generally do cause kak with on coming drivers...

Unfortunately the Dual Beam HID is a little more pricey but well worth it..

the Dual beam has a solenoid in it that when given enough current, pops the globe about 1cm forward changing the Angles of reflection...

 

ahah i just adjusted my lights and now i can see clearer with the HID's installed,
at first when i went into a pitch black backroad, i couldnt see a thing more than 20 feet ahead, and now that i steadied the lights horizontally, and moved the beams up, i can see farther down the road

now i just need to adjust the way they are spread out, they are to wide, and i need them more narrow (:

 

Some people may need their high beams to pass inspection. For example, my father failed inspection because he had HID's without the High Beams (not saying this is your situation). Your solution is to purchase an HID kit with the H4 Bulb which is Hi/Low beam.

 

High beams are also useful for driving on dark country roads at high speeds.

Although HIDs provide much better lighting than halogen, the cut-off distance is not all that much further. With high beams you can see forever into the distance. Your much better off doing a retro fit.

You don't have to get the HID driving lights. The halogen kit from PIAA is only $186 dollars.
