hey all, i have an 88 w/stock d16a6 no mods that starts up and runs beautifully but once it starts to get hot it sputters and then wont start until it cools down. i searched and the next step is to try to clean the iacv so it doesnt choke out once hot. i thought distributor but doesnt make sense that it would work great until hot. any ideas?

 

Igniter sounds like your culprit.

if your rpm gauge isnt working that is another clue that it is the coil
