Well, my friend Justin FINALLY bought the license for the configuration software we needed to run multiple domains and control them from a web interface. Once he has it installed, he'll be setting up an ftp and domain for me, and I should be registering the domain name between Monday and Wednesday.

Once the domain registration takes effect and all DNS servers are updated, I'll be opening the forum to the new moderators for testing. They'll also help me bugtest portions of the site itself once I upload the components. If you're to be a moderator you will be invited. If you would like to be a moderator on the site, you must contribute material, preferably in the form of good articles, tech writeups and data sources. I am also offering full ADMIN access to the person that can compile all the engine and transmission data floating around into one cohesive data source.

Here's some insight into how the site will operate:

Users will be able to register a forum account, post comments on articles and reviews, AND as a special bonus will be able to upload image files for hosting on Accordingly Done and Honda-Tech. Note that any abuse of this privelige will result in an automatic loss of it.

Moderators will be able to do all of the above, plus submit tech articles for posting consideration, add links to existing articles on other sites with a short description, and moderate chosen areas on the forum.

Admins will be able to do all of the above, plus moderate anywhere in the forum, approve submitted articles for posting, post their own tech articles and product reviews, and add/remove moderator status.

Banner ads will probably also be sold to cover my costs for running the site, cost will depend on amount of time the banner runs or the amount of impressions it receives.

I'm crushed! What else am I supposed to do with all these visors? When I hijacked that GReddy truck, I thought I'd find parts, not viz0rs y0.

 

Actually, I probably have enough for the first 500 members. They're pretty cool, they're bright yellow with the GReddy logo on the front. It's even tilted so you can wear the visor at an odd angle and still be able to read it.
