Problem : heater does not blow hot air unless driving if at a light or idling hot air goes away and blows lightly warmed air. What could be the problem? Or is this normal he said he has never noticed this but never really uses the heater only been using it cuz its been cold in the morning lately.

This problem comes up every year about this time. If you sign on to ephatch.com and search "no heat" or "heater problem" you can read this year's two recent threads on the subject. In a nutshell, if the car has no other heating or cooling issues (and, thus, you know the thermostat is functioning properly) and the cable attached to the heater control valve is opening the valve completely (that's crucial), then the only fix is to dress warmly. It is possible, of course, to spend additional sums of money, replace the thermostat, replace the heater control valve, attempt to force the valve beyond its normal range of travel, and to go through various procedures to ensure there is nothing in cooling system other than water and anti-freeze, but the outcome is always the same. IMHO, the problem (assuming there is one) is that the cooling system was designed to ensure the engine never overheats when the thermostat is functioning properly, and as a result there's a very limited amount of "excess heat" to divert to the passenger compartment.
