1998 Accord LX 2.3VTEC no start
1998 Accord LX 2.3VTEC no start
Wont start, cranks and stumbles (like it's getting fuel and spark @ less than 4 cylinders
Verified the following:
=========================================
Compression greater than 150psi @ all cylinders (dry test)
Spark @ Coil/and @ plug wires (less than 25k ohms resistance at wires)
All fuel injectors test between 13-13.7 ohms resistance
Main Relay clicks appropriately and fuel pump primes (re soldered it for ***** and giggles)
Check Engine light goes off after 2 seconds of being on
Spark Plugs are black and sooty ( Hinting @ rich a/f ratio)
A code was recently cleared for bad O2 Sensor
No blown under hood or under dash fuses
Cranks extremely strong
There is pressure @ fuel rail (unbolted at pulsation damper bolt)
Air Filter is disconnected for the purposes of troubleshooting
Mechanical Timing is spot on
Unverified
------------------------------------------
Fuel pressure using gauge
ECT sensor testing
5v @ MAP
CrankPosition Sensor and I hope this damn sensor has NOTHING to do with the problem
Parts replaced as a result of troubleshooting
======================================
Distributor as well as cap and rotor (I had no spark @ coil and too much resistance @ primary and secondary terminals of coil)
Any ideas as to why it isn't starting?

Have you verified whether the ignition switch (which Honda released a service bulletin/recall for) was replaced or serviced in the past?
Usually it just causes the vehicle to randomly stall, but I think it has caused starting issues in a few cases. Just something to check.
Here is the process to replace/find it:

Well if you yourself did it then I would rule it out, but if the dealer serviced it you might want to check again. The person who made that guide I posted had already had it "serviced" and it failed. Might want to at least check voltages if you can't find anything else to mess with.
So no CEL's showing up? Go figure.
Sounds like you need to start checking off the rest of that list. I'd definitely check the CPS and the fuel pressure. The MAP sensor would be a pretty quick test to do, though I would think that's least likely to be the issue (then again, I've had stranger things happen).
I don't know, I'm not smart enough to think of something else at the moment haha.
