ugr valves vs used oem itr valves??
i have a set of new underground racing valves and a set of used itr valves from a jdm itr head unknown milage....using bc spec 4 cams and supertech springs and retainers...should i keep the itr or go with the new ugr valves??
Valves/valvetrain are some of the most highly stressed components in an engine. The last ITR rolled off the line nearly 10 years ago which would suggest that the valves you have may have a great deal of wear and tear on them. It's always better to replace worn parts like that with new ones rather than risk an expensive engine, reusing them.
You can get OEM ITR valves/springs and retainers from many sources still. Probably the best valve for tyour motor. Last i checked the ITR valves were going for something like $15 a piece
^ i was thinking of goin that route brand new itr valves supertech springs
anyways yeah its always best to go new if you dont kno how long theve been on and dont wana risk ruining ur motor..

Id sell the ugr valves asap, even if you plan of going with aftermarket valves.
I work on a guys car who insist on buying ugr and blackworks valves and his engines keep havin to be swapped...
After reading this thread below id grab some new oem itr valves or new oem valves.
Its been tested oem flows much better in NA builds..
Was a decent thread kind goin to **** but some good stuff in here....https://honda-tech.com/forums/all-motor-naturally-aspirated-44/aftermarket-b-series-valves-even-worth-money-2827913/

you can reuse the itr intakes as long as there is no visible wear; but ALWAYS replace exhaust valves. the exhaust side is subject to massive heat cycling. every exhaust valve will fail eventually, the question is just when. don't start a build with a used expendable item
