converting to manual tranny from auto (donor car) what do i need?
Hey guys ive got a wrecked ef with perfect drivetrain (manual trans) etc.. and now i have the chance to pick up a cheap ef but its an automatic. If i have everything out of the donor car ie. clutch, tranny etc. will there be any retro fitting/cutting/buying adapters or anything, or will i just pull the old stuff out, and drop the new stuff in?
cliff notes: i want to put my manual drivetrain guts (motor, trans) into an automatic ef, what problems might i run into?

ef 5 speed pedal assembly, shift linkage, flywheel, clutch, transmission, dx axles or equivalent, pm6 or pm5 ecu, shifter/****, and a manual trans motor mount for pass side, and possibly a mount for the cross member+front cross member.
what do ya know. an 04 asks a question. a lazy *** 05 makes a stupid comment, an 06 answers. 4,5,6 lol.

Don't forget cluster if you don't want the stupid PRND321, and to wire up the reverse light.... you know, as outlined in the FAQ thread.
Ive read the FAQ. ive got a complete LX donor car. Cluster, Linkage, Cable, ECU, flywheel everything that comes stock in the 1989 civic lx. SO in theory the swap should be free cost wise right. Seems to me like the hardest part will be cutting/fabbing up a hole for the clutch pedal.
also in the FAQ i noticed the guy doing a lot of wiring. is much if any wiring necessary? would it be easier to just take the wiring harness out of the lx to not have to cut and splice stuff

Specific questions welcome.
check out the 2 and 3 page of my build thread, I converted from automatic THE RIGHT WAY. most people dont move the clutch cable tunnel from the manual car to the auto car like I did and this cant waste your pedals or even your transmission
