Default Help remove rear Knuckle

I have a 2002 CRV DX Japan built - trying to remove rear knuckle to change bearing. got everything cleared out - removed flange bolt from upper arm and the flange on lower arm is nice and loose - but the adjusting bolt won't budge...I have beat it, tried to turn it, yelled at it and it does not move. What am doing wrong? any ideas would be helpful - I am dead in the water with a car up on blocks.

Hawkze_2.3 Yes, it is number 17 and this schematic as well as the one I am using looks like it should just slide out. - But it won't budge - I have a jack under the trailing arm to support it. I have tried moving the jack up and down to relieve pressure to no avail - the bolt just won't move. I put a 14mm socket on it and it will not turn (I started to strip the head of the bolt-that's when I stopped and posted here.

Looks like there is a nut and a cam on the other end of the bolt...can you hold a wrench on either of those to loosen it?

The nut and the cam come off - the bolt itself won't move.

It's seized to the inner sleeve of the bushing. It will need to be drilled, cut, or burned out.

+1.

I've done this many times before at work.

Use a sawzall with a SHORT thin metal cutting blade. I just did this and it worked well for cutting the same seized bolt on my 2002 CR-V real trailing arm. Also be careful of cutting into the welded mounting bracket, that's why you want a short blade. If the blade is still too long, put it in a vise and snap off the tip to make it shorter. Hope this helps
