So I just bought the car, replacing everything and while trying to replace the pcv valve, it broke. It was old and had a bunch of gunk on, AND it was plastic. Anyways, the lower hose is now dislodged from the hole in the intake manifold, with the lower plastic piece of the pcv valve still in it. I've tried pulling out the broken remnants but they won't budge. Here's my question, I can't really get to the lower hose from underneath (can't fit my arm under there) to remove the lower hose and just clean it out, so i mean, should I just remove my intake manifold and clean it all up? Or any other suggestions?

 

Or, can I just plug up the lower or upper hose for the time being. I have a friend who can help me but I'd have to drive it there. Do I plug the lower or upper hose for a temporary fix?
