Default 84,000 miles what should I do to it?

Well I got my LS 5 speed a couple weeks ago, it has 84,000 miles on it and I'd like to know what I should do to it. I just changed the oil to 5w-30 Mobil1 and K&N oil filter, the stock filter was dirty so I got a AEM SRI, and also changed the thermostat to a new Acura one. Last tank of gas I got 375 miles on it before the low fuel light came on. Mixed interstate and city driving. I know the plug wires are the original 1996 ones and I'd assume the spark plugs are too. Obivously the car gets good gas mileage but right around 1,500rpms just part throttle there seems to be a very very slight skip. Just wonder what I should do to get the car running like new.

Change the spark plugs and wires, clean the IACV, change manual transmission oil. If its running fine its not really necessary to do much more, just make sure all proper maintenance has been done. I would also seafoam it. Others may not agree with that but thats just my opinion.

I think I will wait until the turbo kit goes on for the plugs but I've heard the best spark plug wires are stock NGKs? I think the IAC valve is fine because there is a rock hard idle and I looked inside the throttle body and it looked suprisingly clean for a PCVed car. (not sure how Honda's are, but I know Fords get quite a bit of oil in the intake)

Has it ever had the timing belt replaced?

Your guess is as good as mine. I hope so since the Honda dealership said it was 90k-100k miles OR 7 years which it has been 13.

If your not sure I would go ahead and replace it. Just for some piece of mind before you boost it.

Just do your regular maintenance and ride it. Bought my GS-R with about the same miles as yours in 2001, and now it has 295K on it. Engine and transmission both have never been cracked open.
