When I put the key in and turn the ignition to ON the man req light flashes 10 times then goes off.

 

I think that means that you're well past a required maintenance. There's a button under the dash (driver side, right side of the steering wheel) that you push and it'll erase it.

maintenance required is usually just a cycle the car goes through to remind you to change timing belts, adjust valve lash, etc. pretty much any maintenance thing. It goes on based on the preset intervals (on my dads accord at least) and is basically meaningless. it is a way to get you into the stealer so they can fix those items even though theyre fine. Honda was sued for this i believe

 

Oh dang. Yea my car has 84k on it and the Honda dealership tried to get me to let them change the timing belt for $610 last time I was in for an oil change.
