Default rsx cluster in ef hatch problems!

so I installed an rsx cluster in my 88 hatch (b16a swapped), and everything works fine except for the tach. The tachometer works, but whenever i get close to redline (8200) the tach needle goes berserk, it also does it when i am using 2-step before a launch. I also have an autometer tachomether, and that one works perfectly fine, so I don't know if its something that is wrong with the tach, or wiring or if all you rsx ppl have the same problem with you 2step. help

I have an electronic VSS, the speedometer works fine and so does the odometer, the tachometer (rpm) is the one that is going crazy when i redline or hit 2step, and I noticed it jumps up the gauge if I give it full throttle in any gear at any rpm. Is it a ground problem?
