LCA's...blox or...stox?
So i was doing my suspension tonight and all was going well in the front. When I got to the rear, and the infamous middle bolt on each side froze and broke.
Not a good night. I spent a couple hours trying to drill it out, push it out, etc (autozone was closed). I know that tomorrow, I can get a set of bushings and a removal/press tool from autozone. It's around 35 bucks for just the bushing kit. My question is...should I just get a set of blox LCA's for 110 bucks? What good are performance LCA's? This civic is my DD and i'm rockin stock suspension. Should I just keep what I have and upgrade the bushings?

if you change any thing either function 7 or new oem bushings pretty much every thing else is trash DONT waste your money. there are so many threads allready showing in detail about blox,sk2, and ebay lca's and there crap bushings and how much better oem is.

Don't be a fool...the evidence is everywhere.
I'd say F7...since you'll be spending a bit on the process of new bushings and the press and whatnot anyways.
no blox for LCAs. all aftermarket lca's are solely for looks. a lil weight savings and thats about it.
so either stay OEM and get new bushings or buy some f7s or sk2.

Lol at the guy thinking blox control arms are a upgrade.
The control arms are terrible, not to mention they do noithing! There is no performance gain is switching them, they are a down grade.
Oem, function7 or skunk2 with the new bushings

I'm going to have to agree. I'm riding on the Blox and they're garbage. I'm actually going to switch everything suspension back to OEM tomorrow, DDing a lowered car blows.
i'm going to vote blox...
because the hardrace bushings fit in the blox arms... and the blox bushings are cake to change out due to the set screw design that holds them in...
and, a lot of the bushing issues people have with lca's are caused by people not properly aligning or clocking the bushings - they have to be at ride height before all bolts are tightened, otherwise they are stressed too much... search h-t or google if you don't understand what i'm talking about.

F7 are well made and just plain beautiful but not for the money. I just got the BLOX because they look good and preform well with the right bushings not to mention I got them for 50 bucks from a buddie and same goes for Skunk2 they look good but the early models sucked newer models still suck but they have better bushings lol
well i have the megan racing lcas, same **** as blox. got them for 35 but the bushings were bad(yes for looks). so i was going to just get the blox replacement,
but im willing to try some hardrace.
about what price am i looking at for the hardrace?
and is there a specific part number or size im going to need to run them in the blox/megan?

The newer skunk2 bushings are much better then the old ones. Yes, i do have experience with both.
It's up to you, but i still wouldnt bother with them. Some people are fine with buying them and haveing to replace the bushings, I am not, and many others agree with me.
You are much better off, keeping oem or getting function7, or skunk2 as long as they have the newer bushings.

How did you get the hardrace to fit? Any more insight would be appreciated
i have a set of blox lcas on my slammed civic, rolling on them for 3 years, no problems so far, just clock the bushings. and this is driving all year round
