Default auto to manual tranny swap....

How much do you think an auto to manual tranny swap would cost me? If anyone knows, please give me some advice. Also, how much would it improve your 1/4 mile time.

Thanks

well your sway on tray's is about $500 - $1000 depends on where you go and your gear timing will be different so your 1/4 mile will improve but there's no saying on how much, remember its you driving the car not the car driving you meaning that if you know how to drive your car then yes you will improve

Do you know if the tranny comes with everything that I need, or do I have to look around for other parts? Does anyone here know anysites to get transmissions from?

Thanks

You have a 2001 and want to do a swap? Trade it in and get a 5 speed. It will be a lot better that way as far as money is concerned. The other thing here is that I seriously doubt you intend to keep the car until it is at least 20 years old and totally worthless. This is why I suggest you get a different car. OR learn to use the SS tranny and enjoy it as is.

Yeah bro, the SS tranny isn't that bad once you know how to use it. Lots of cats talk sh-t on em, but most people haven't ever driven a car with em. Shoot, the Lexus got em. Most quarter mile cars use some type of auto transmission anyways. Your times are more steady with an auto, a manual you got the whole human error thing.

Yeah,steadily 1 second slower .
I wish they never made the SS vtec, thats why all these little civic kids think the lude Vtec is slow, they raced a Sport Shift, so they all think every Prelude Vtec is slow...
