Climate Control lights staying illuminated?
I recently woke up to a dead car and remembered that my climate control lights would stay illuminated all the time. Even when the key is out of the ignition, the climate control lights will stay lit if the buttons are pushed in. The only way to make the lights go away, is to make it that none of the buttons are pushed in.
Anyone know the problem because of this? I am planning on doing a climate control swap whenever I get the chance to but it would be nice to diagnose this in the mean time.

If you have the blower on, will the blower stay blowing too? I would imagine maybe there is some non-stock wiring and some one wired the climate control power to something that is always on, instead of off when the ignition is off. Look at the fuses... look normal, or anything else 'extra' that's not labeled?
I would pull fuses until you see the lights go off... is that the fuse for the climate control, or something else? If it's something else, well, some one is powering your climate control (probably ONLY the climate control + mystery item, I bet the blower turns off without the car on, it's on it's own circuit/fuse) with something else.

Also, I can't exactly remember but I'm pretty sure the rear defrost light near the cluster stayed on with the key off. Or maybe I still had the key in, I'll have to double check.

I had this issue on my 97 accord LX. In my case it turned out to be the radiator fan control module (located behind the glove compartment). This module is responsible for keeping the radiator fan on when the car is turned off... and, as such, has power applied even when the ignition is off. In my case the failure caused voltage to backfeed to the heater control circuit.
To test, unplug this module... if the lights go out then this is your problem. I looked up the part number on ebay and found a replacement.
