Default adjusting your valves

I was wondering how often you guys adjust your valves. I have been told before every race, or once a year, or every X amount of miles. i dont know when mine were done last, so I'm thinking about doing it. also, do you guys do it yourselves? Thanks

Default Re: adjusting your valves (TDRacing)

People Normally Adjust valve lash when valves become slighly noisy. I belive honda recommends 60k or 90k miles to do them. It is pretty simple doing valve lash adjustments. On B-series engines it is a bit difficult to do, (I have custom tools I made to do the job easy) but on D-series its a peice of cake. Using basic hand tools Feeler Gauge 10mm Wrench & Small flat head screwdriver.

Good luck
