This has probably been asked before but I didn't have luck with the search.
My shifter snapped when I went to put in reverse so I need to get another one. It was an eBay one I suspect. It came with the car.

I have always wanted to get rid of it so here's my chance.

I drove a bit in my buddies b16a and his oem shifter felt great.

Should I just pick an oem one up or should I upgrade? I don't like short shifters much and I just wanted to know if an integra one is better?

I assume LS,GS,RS are the same, then GSR and then ITR. I'm assuming they will work? I don't want to swap the linkage.

Appreciate it!

ITR's come with an OEM dual bend. It'll work with the d series, you just need to shave a bit off the sides of the collar and collar placement on the shifter, you know?

You could also go B&M :D

I'll pass on B&M. My buddy is having issues with his and plus I want OEM shifters. Is the GSR dual bend? How much shaving is necessary and how? Is it easy to do?

you can use alot of different ones. you can use the integra dual bend, you just have to make adjustments to the bracket to get it to fit the larger opening.

I bet he's having trouble because he bought it used either without or with the wrong rubber O rings that need to go with the shifter. I love my B&M. Yes, the GSR and ITR are dual bend and the picture tells you. 8mm on one side, 2mm on the other. Like said above, you can also just mod the mount on the linkage.

Interesting. Can you shed some more light on how to mod it?

Well, I don't necessarily know myself, just assume you can cut and splice the mount on the linkage haha. But slicing the ends off the collar of the shifter is probably an easier route.

All Integra shifters are dual bend.

Why is dual bend better anyways?

There is the fork looking bracket on the end of your shift linkage that the factory shifter bolts to. you will want to (CAREFULLY) flatten the 2 fork pieces out. the get 2 sets of plyers or 2 cresent wrenches, whatever you prefer and rebend them. make sure you keep a small area of space in there so it doesnt wear out the bushings. Thats how i did mine. Hope this helps

A fun one to use is the del Sol OEM shifter. Single bend; angles towards the driver instead of back from the console.
