So I'm getting to the point where I'm almost finished this project. I widened my 91 crx by about a foot in the rear and over a foot and a half up front. All steel widebody, no fiberglass or molded bodykits. This car looks oem. Using 2000 si bumpers. The rhd conversion is complete, full roll cage, built b16 with full-race turbo kit using gt3076r. So much to list. I just set this new account up so I'm limited to my posts but ill be putting up pics soon as I can. I will be doing an awd swap next fall but I'm holding off until I get some documentation of my 1/4 mile et's fwd so I can compare. car looks nuts tho guys, I'm running 17x9.5's in the front and the back on bfg comp ta's 255/40zr/17. Car should put down around 525-550ish hp hopefully. Evans got 320 to the wheels on 10psi out of it on a conservative tune. I've been working on this for a while now so I'm pretty stoked to be nearing the end. I have never seen any of this done before and we have 1000's of hours into this car so I'm hoping for a lot of recognition, and after the awd conversion we hope to see 9 second et's. I widened it so I could fit the wheel n tire package on there. 17x9.5s aint the problem, its the tires that were the reason for all the trouble. It looks like a rally car. The tires r huge for only being 255's. I had to run a 1" spacer up front and make a new inner wheel housing in the rear.the car measures 73" from outer rim to outer rim.I think stock was like 62 or 64. Plus it just looks cool. Kinda like a really small porsche. Pics later tonite. I don't know how to sen a link to my facebook, my name is AutoMoto Specialists tho, look me up. ill post some progressive pics, im still working on the fenders. the quarter panels are made out of 92-95 civic coupe front fenders coupled with some other metal i made on the english wheel. i couldnt get the proper curvature on the front fenders using the english wheel so i had to make cages around the factory fender frame, then fill in the squares in sections at a time. pain in the *** but i have a ton of clearance inside the fender well so i can still have some room for slick expantion. still tryna fig out which front bumper im goin to use, i was gona use 00 si bumper for the front but i fitted up a new tsx front and i think i can make it work so we will c. def a frankenstein car. steel rocker panels in the works too...stay tuned

The bumpers will b highly modified too. Split down the middle and widened, then split along the top and plastic welded to te original crx sir bumper top half so it will still fit around the hood and headlights perfectly. The whole idea on this car is to have it not look extremely modified when its done, like a ricer. I just want it to look like a very clean newer oem style race car. Disreguard that mercedes tecite grey in the pics, that was the color I did it before the widebody, I whipped up a custom purple that ill be puttin on it. Looks black at times then flips to dark purple. Anyone kno anywhere I can get a manual rack for my car? I got a power one but I don't wana run ps. I had mine rebuilt but its still got a very small amount of play in it since the lines r just capped off. Def aint tryna run ps tho!

 

Another question, anyone else running tein ss coilovers? I have the front all the way down an the car isn't really too low. Not that rie height is that important to me, I'm more concerned about handling. But I do want to b able to lower the car as much as possible for photo shoots, shows etc

 

I put up some updated pics of the car, and fenders on my facebook. Ill try to get them onto photobook too. Installed some escalade hid bulbs n ballasts today. Looks nice.
