i put a manual rack & pinion in my 98 hatch but the input shaft is 14mm vs the p/s rack being a 17mm so the steering joint (the universal joint lookin thing that connects the steering column to the rack & pinion input shaft) the rack i put in is stamped S04.

i looked on napa's site n they sell a manual rack for EKs and said the input shaft is 14mm so i called and they called cardone tech support and told me they were familiar with wat i was talkin bout with the steering joint but didnt sell one

i called honda they didnt kno and since it would be a special order part ordering anythin would be a gamble

does anyone kno what im talkin about and kno wat i can get a steering joint out of to fit? or a part number? other wise the only thing i can thing of is spending the day at the junk yard with my digital caliper which is no fun!

Did you put a 92-95 cx rack in a 98 EX?

 

its a 98 dx and i have no clue wat it came out of i can ask the guy tomo i bought it from
i think its a 98 or 99 (EK) cx rack cuz like i said its stamped S04 which is an EKs part # series
