One Free Navigation update ?
Hey guys,
Ahem, I was at another site forum, and there is a thread there saying everyone (in Canada) gets one free updated Nav DVD.
Is there any truth to that ?
And if so, what happens if you're the second owner ?
Appreciate your replies.
2006 Accord V6 with Nav (Darn thing has 05 DVD)

No, And if a dealership tells you you do they are holding it in the backend of the deal and you are acually paying for it you just dont see it on the write up. It's what we call Line 6 its where we can hide all kinds of stuff. Just like if we were to give you "free lifetime oil" we are acually hiding it on Line 6 and it's just added in on the price of the car. I am a honda certified salesman... To bad you guys cant come down here and buy, you will pay up to $10000 more up there. If you have any other questions let me know.

Funny part being e.g, Honda Civic is made a hour away from me in Aliston, Ontario, but it costs more for me to buy here, rather than if traveled all the way to Arizona.
Anyways, thanks for replies guys. I was hoping maybe if I went back to Original dealer they might have a freebee update.
Time to shell out $249.

HOnda nav is a joke up here in Canada. I live on Vancouver Island. Sitting in Nanaimo in my new Accord, I punch in a mall in Vancouver I want to go to. Its 38 miles point to point, including a Nanaimo to Vancouver ferry ride. The ferry has been here for decades and is the extension of the Trans Canda highway. My Garmin gives me exact, accurate, directions. The Honda nav tells me to go to Victoria, take a ferry to Seattle, then come back through Blaine Washington, then to my Vancouver destination. A total of 700 km and over 10 hours. Called Honda, they said take it to dealer. Did, dealer said Honda were aware of the nav issues. So once again its a circular argument similar to the rear brakes. Well known, reported issues, but no resolution for Honda buyers.
I agree Honda NAV sucks. I have a Garmin as well, with Blutooth. It is simply amazing.
Honda NAV does look good, but my 2005 interface sucks compare to Garmin. I don't know if 2010 has different graphics (3D) ?
Honda should make a deal with Garmin and charge only $250 per car.
They charge 2K for current NAV, but seems like 1 in 15 car has it.
At lower rate if everyone bought NAV, wouldn't they make more money ?
