How do I install Yonaka seats in my EK Hatch?
Hey all,
Wifey's step-dad just gave me a pair of Yonaka Samurai reclinable race buckets. Just wondering what's involved in installing them into my car. ('96 CX-G Hatch)
Do they come with universal brackets? If so, do these universal brackets line up perfectly with my OE seat holes.
Or is there an EK Civic bracket that I need to buy?
Thanks,
G

So what is different about Yonaka seats than every other racing seat? Find an online store that sells them and see if there are brackets available for your car.
Google is your friend.

I have searched online and it seems they come with Universal Sliders and apparently they fit 95% of all vehicles.
Anyone out there have experience mounting these in an EK?
In some cases, people should use google for obvious things. In this case, this is a legitimate question that is good for the site and can benefit other members in the future.
my experience with universal bracket seats is that your still going to have to customize it. I had to cut off the tabs and reweld them to fit into the car.
The seat rails are more than likely what is universal not the brackets. The rails mount to the brackets which are application specific and can easily be found on eBay or anywhere else. Just like most any other aftermarket racing seats I've ever seen.
