Icon6 Coilover Install For Dummies

Imma make a poll first before I waste my time. Please vote if you look. Even if you know how to do this and done it millions of times, not everyone does and we see enough of these threads asking how to every couple minutes. Vote. Simple as that. I would like this to get stickied. Also this is my way. Not saying its the best, fastest, smartest way. But its an easy way and works. If you would like to add your input please do. Hate is welcome ethugs. Ill keep this same thread if you guys want it. Let the votes begin. Ill give this thread a day or two to see how the votes are.

Thanks.

Honestly man, there are far too many sources for this information to worry about getting your future thread stickied.

In the future, don't worry about posting nonsense threads like this. If you want to post technical information, do it. Then the poll or thread responses can help you gauge your usefulness and ability to educate in the first place.

Just my $.02

You say that there are a lot of sources. But why do we get a thread asking how to do it so often? I know they could look but if its stickied and a really in depth how to we would get less, it wouldn't stop, but less threads asking how to. So I'm just making a poll to see if I should do it to help out the honda commity. It will be done on a 95 eg hatch. Will have everything needed and questions how to will not be asked. I hear you tho.

If every single procedure for working on your civic got stickied, there would be no reason to have the forum in the first place.

The people asking questions are just too lazy to take the time and figure out what is needed.

For instance, a quick google search for "Civic coilover install" gave me tons of results that were great.

Case in point:
http://www.jdmuniverse.com/forums/view_ekcoilovers.html

Now, is that the best write up in the world? Probably not. Is it specific to every car that might come in to this section of the forum? Definitely not. But if you look up enough information you will see that from 88-00, most civic suspension installs are nearly identical. There are obviously some differences (rear LCA thickness, front lower fork differences, etc), but the majority of the process is identical. Anyone who is even remotely serious about wanting to work on their own car will be able to figure it out.

Those who are too lazy likely won't even do the work when they figure out how.

Again, just my opinion.

You wish to contribute to this community by creating a DIY thread on coilover installation in a 95 Civic hatch. I highly encourage you to do so. That's what a technical forum like this one is all about.

With that said, I am closing this poll thread as it is not a technical topic per se. Nonetheless, if you decide to create your DIY thread with clear pictures and text descriptions, members will be interested.
