Default "Delay" with clutch disengaging at high RPM

Hi I have noticed this issue with my newly acquired car. My gearbox is in good condition.

In normal traffic and driving conditions the clutch engages/disengages fine.

I only run into issues when I am shifting at high RPM. When I press the clutch in at high RPM to shift down gears it feels and sounds like there is a delay/slowness with the clutch disengaging, which is not good when trying to make quick gear changes.

What could cause the issue?

I've bleed the clutch, adjusted the rod for the clutch engagement point, and just changed transmission oil with Honda MTF. Clutch is an Exedy unit according to previous owner.

Thanks

Its more than likely slipping due to the added torque at a higher RPM. Mine is currently similar, but I know its due to a slowly dieing OEM clutch.

But this happens when Im changing from 3rd to 4th gear around 8000rpm.

I'm talking about DISENGAGING the clutch when im about to change from 3rd to 4th.

There just feels like there is a delay when I press the clutch down to when it actually disengages in this situation. Could this really be caused by a worn clutch?

check the throw on your clutch pedal. There are lots of guys that have ran into this problem and simply adjusting the rod fixed the problem

I've already adjusted. But do you recommend adjusting the engage point higher or lower?

Rotate the rod outwards, give it a half spin and try it out
