im swapping a d16 back into my dx hatch to pass emissions testing. im using a innovative crossmember with the b16 thats in it now. since the stock one is gone i have no front mount to attatch the stock d series trans mount to. ive seen the mount they sell to fit this buut its like 130 bucks! thats a bit much for a motor im gonna pull right back out again. i have the stock x member but the mount bracket is cut off already. any ideas on fabbing somethin to bolt the trans mount to?

 

if you have upgraded mounts on the other 3 you dont need the front one innovative mounts dont fit i just went through this with them i upgraded and have know issues i have had it at the track and no problems hope this helps you

 

im gonna be using all stock mounts. maybe ill get some inserts but im only gonna drive with this d series to pass emissions testing the its coming back out

 

get some inserts, i drove with inserts and a traction bar with no front mount for like a year. ur good, its coming back out anyway

 

i had bunches of friends that never used the front mount on there stock d series in there crx and beat them non stop and never had any probs with them popping outta gear or any issues at all don't use it if its only going to be in a few days it will be fine

 

yeah few months tops. gonna swap this d in the red dx and drive it while i put the b16 in my black si since it doesnt need testing till 2012. 2 years is alot of drivin!
