Help! E-brake getting stuck in Canada cold weather
I live in cold *** Canada, and we got our first cold weather this week...
Anyway whenever I get in my car the rear passenger wheel is stuck until I drive a couple meters and it will unstick. This happens even if I don't use the parking brake when I park.
I'm guessing this is caused by moisture in the brake line, is there a way I can jus disconnect the line from the wheel? The same thing happened to the rear driver side last year and I had a shop fix it, but I am going on a snowboarding trip in the mountains this weekend and don't have time to take my car to a shop first...
So like I said, is there a way I can just temporarily disconnect the cable from the wheel?

I just noticed that even though the tire breaks loose after driving a couple meters, the ebrake is still on because I drove home from work an when I got hoke the lug nuts were hot... Eek!! Need this fixed asap.
So brake on car is sticking on but you can't fix it coz your going snowboarding and just want to disconnect the line from that wheel?
Dude if you are using your car then you need the brakes, like you said you live in cold *** Canada so there will be plenty of time this winter for snowboarding.
Get your self a workshop manual for the car,you can find most of them online somewhere for free to download.
If you are sure the ebrake is sticking on it could be moisture in the ebrake cable that is freezing and keeping the brake applied.
Seriously man fix the brakes it is far more important than snowboarding.

Seriously hunt on-line and you will find a shop manual that you can download and over and above anything else you will save money by doing the work yourself.
If your ebrake is sticking on then the brakes on that wheel are sticking on causing wear on everything at that wheel,pads/shoes, drum or rotor and may even overheat your wheel bearing causing premature failure. This will end up costing you alot more money to repair in the end.
