Icon2 Need HELP WITH electrical problems. drain of powere

my car battery keeps dying, i know its not the altanator, because i had it recently checked out and the battery is also good.
i recently unpluged the fuses from my fuse box of the car stereo, and the interior lights, cig, lighter. (which causes my car to surge while driving) but the battery still dies overnight.
My passenger side door jamb does beep when i turn left, i cannot fix it. My l clip is broken on passenger side. I have taken apart the interior to examine. The solenoid clicks as if the door is ajar and beeps when turning left.
I've read that can drain the battery overnight. And also that honda has a lifetime replacement for seatbelts..??
Any help would be great. REALLY tired of the beeping and the charging my battery.
thanks

I spent almost three months hunting this problem down and it's probably the same thing on yours. The locking mechanism for the seatbelts shorts out. You have to disconnect the two plugs to this seatbelt lock thing on both sides. Then unplug the indicator lights by the rearview mirror (just pops off), and unplug the plug under the seats. Otherwise you can order new ones but this is what I did in two of my EF's now and I've seen it a few other times two on here. This has worked for everyone I've explained it to. Good luck and hope this helps!!

ok
thanks, so
i did that on my passenger side. and the beeping has stopped.
and ill soon see about the battery, but, will this cancel out the safety precautions for the seatbelt? i.e. if i get in a crash will the seatbelt lock up?
im concerned for my passengers safety....(due to lack of airbags it's kinda important)

That's the downside, your seatbelts will NOT lock up at all anymore being that is the thing you unplugged, so it's certainly not the preferred route to take but the cheap quick fix for it. It's probably cheaper to order the part (not sure how much it is though), but you could get some 5 point harness for around $80 on up. They expire though after a year or two though, so that could get pricey in the long run.

No, they do not expire.

If your battery doesn't die after you unplugged the connector, you know you have a short somewhere downstream of the connector and it should be fairly easy to find.

They do expire depending on the state you are in. It literally has a tag on it that says it is not valid after whatever year. I have owned them before.

http://www.google.com/search?q=seeatbelt+expire&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-USfficial&client=firefox-a#hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=ocd&rls=org.mozilla:en-USfficial&&sa=X&ei=Yi3nTJ72H4XGlQffsMGtDA&ved=0C BMQvwUoAQ&q=seat+belt+expire&spell=1&fp=d33e6c9c35 dcd7a0

Any more luck with the problem? I'm interested in seeing if it was those, seems to be a recurring thing recently.
