tried to get under my car and change the oil, but it seems the drain plug won't come off no matter which way i turn it. it just spins. but, it won't spin by hand. has this ever happened to anyone? i remember a while back my brother had to replace his oil pan because he stripped the pan's threads. he tried the cheapest way to fix it thinking he might've needed a new plug and washer, but his pan was done. i asked him when he tried to take the plug out did it come off easy or did it spins like mine... he said it came out easy... so i don't know what's up...
how would i go by taking it out? and any alternatives than just replacing the pan? i did go out and get a new plug and washer... but, the stupid plug won't even come out.

thread sounds like its stripped, but should be easy to just unthread out
if you value getting the plug out (your gonna have to replace the pan anyway, and you have new plug n washer)
i'd suggest screwing it in constantly like you been doing until its loose enough to unthread by hand, then you pull simultaneously as you unthread
but it'd be better just to take the entire pan out, get a new or junkyard one and do the do

You might be able to put a prybar on it while turning it. As for repair, you could use an oversized plug temporarily. But I agree the best solution is to get a new pan.
