Default Vtec issues! plz help

So I been look around on the forums about my problem and haven't seen anything on the subject, My vtec will only crossover if my gauge cluster is unplugged? I have a electronic speedo sensor on my jdm lsd Y1 transmission, I was just working 2 days ago now its not any suggestions? I was told that i would need to get a jdm cluster for my mph to work anyway around that?

Thanks Jon
