Default N/A Setup suggestions

bad luck ran upon me today and head gasket went out in my car. so since i will be taking the head off....time to get the head build

1. i was thinking of running supertech valvesprings/ti retainers will stock keepers will work or will i need supertechs? which valvesprings/ti retainers from Supertech you guys recommend?
2. get the supertechs valves or use my stock ones?
3. brian crower stg 2 cams worth it? or i should look at another set of cams that is worth wild. if i use brian crower cams should i use their spring/retainers or supertech will do the job? im just looking for a nice street setup! do i need to replace the timing chain and tensionor?
4. OEM or Comestic or Autozone/Orielly brand headgasket?
5. im going to port and polish the head since the head is off, should i go with a mild P&P or go a full Race P&P any good specs that i can run?
6. what size injectors? RC or any other good brands?
7. except for K-Pro is there anything else i should add since the head is off?

Injen SRI and HKS 60MM exhaust is all i have. i am going to run stock cams and stock header until K-Pro comes into play. i will order the BC cams but when i get tuned i will install them, i do not want to run like **** until i get tuned. any other suggestions is greatly welcomed

Lets start with the basics, what year is your car?

The 05+ features single valvesprings, so if you plan to convert to dual springs I'm pretty sure you have to use the PR7 keepers from the 02-03 base RSX, that's what I used in my skunk 2 retainers and dual valvesprings when I built my head.

An OEM head gasket will do completely fine.

I would recommend replacing the timing chain tensioner, with an OEM or after market just to be safe. I've read too many stories about failed tensioners.

Remember K's love to breathe, so make sure you have a good intake setup, with good length in the piping, and at least a 3" exhaust. Also do not cheap out on header. I'd say look into BC, blue print or IPS.

Definitely invest in K-pro, it will be your best friend.

i have a 2002 RSX Type-S will i still need the PR7 keepers or or can i use the ones i have now? i only have a Injen SRi and HKS 60mm exhaust at the moment. i was thinking of getting Brian Crower Stg2 cams with the ClubRsx Kiddracing header. everybody is telling me to get the Injen CAI but i read to many stories about people hydro locking and i dont want to even risk blowing my motor. which cams are you running? thanks again for your reply.

yeah your gona need a bigger exhaust.. , the injen cai has been proven to get the most power out.. dont drove thru water puddles and you wont have a problem. brian 2s are a very decent came i ran a set back in the day.. not bad at all. your keepers are fine on that car.
