has anyone stripped their car?
If so, how far did you go? So far I have removed everything except the top part of the dash and door panels. I trying to figure out how far I can go and still be able to drive my car on the streets.
Maybe I did not make myself clear, but there's no reason to be a dick! I don't know if I can make myself clear this time, but basically I am trying to build a "race" car for autox and drag racing, but I would like to drive it on the steets once in a while so I want to keep it street legal also. I only wanted some hints and learn from people that have done this already. Maybe someone can tell me from experience not to remove the heater coil because I would freeze my *** off in the winter, for example. Isn't what this site is all about? there are NO dumb questions!

I did mine. Took a looooot of stuff out. You gotta watch what you do because SCCA rules are very strict about what you can and cannot remove. You might find removing your Heating coil you cannot race anymore in sanctioned events.
Get a rulebook and see the max you can do and then just go as far as you are willing to go. NASA rules allow a lot more to be done then SCCA, however you also have to remove stuff such as your sunroof and roll cages are mandatory.
