Default 96 hatch with d16 - Turbo the d16 or do h22 swap?

I got a 96 hatch with a d16 with 93k miles on it. I want some more power while I build a b16. Should I turbo with the engine I have now or swap an h22 and do small mods to it?

if you're building a b16, i say do a d16 turbo since you already have the motor.

Turbo D16. because you wont be able to put your B16 in after you hack off the passanger side engine mount. and you can make decent power off a D16 turbo I have seen some pretty Impressive number made on stock internals. Can I ask what your buliding a B16 for? Your not gonna make much all motor you would be better off buliding it for boost.

I am building the b16 for boost. I guess I forgot to mention that. My bad. What would I be looking at for horsepower on stock internals of a d16 with a turbo?

wtf are you saying. 150HP or less? You can do 200WHP easily on stock internals. 200WHP is regarded as the safe limit, although people have pushed almost 300WHP on stock internals before. And 200WHP = 230HP. Which is almost 100HP increase
My built turbo D16 (Vitara/SCAT) makes 303WHP @ 19PSI on a ebay turbo. And its safe to 22PSI.

I dont know how you guys put swaps in where your from but there is no need to be hacking mounts off any more with the mount kits that are available.
