Default 1991 Civic SI AWD Turbo (Epic Tuning built)

SOLD

I recently aquired this car and need to stick with my plans of selling it to get a new truck. Everyday i drive it (i dont drive it everyday), I want to keep it that much more. I haven't had it long but it needed a new battery and a clutch cable. Both have been replaced since i've owned it. It rides great, pulls incredibly hard for what it is and is an absolute blast to drive. You can google search this car. Just type in Epic tuning AWD EF.

This car was built by Epic Tuning back in '07 and the motor rebuilt sometime around late '08 or early '09. It still have everything in it that it had when built except for the strut bar and the turbo manifold was changed out somewhere along the way. I posted the build thread from honda-tech and i cut and pasted an old for sale thread of it as i feel this is the best representation of the car in its current state still.

I have had quite a few Honda's and none were as fun as this car, on street tires it grips from launch untill you let out of it

awd setup from the wagovan (epic tuning built this car)

gauges/ecu:
obd1 conversion
neptune ecu
gm 3 bar map sensor
rc 750cc injectors
Viper alarm (works great and has excellent range)
greddy electronic boost gauge
plx wideband and gauge
walbro inline 255hp fuel pump
8 gallon fuel cell (properly mounted, and has a cover)

motor:
d16z6
wiseco pistons
eagle rods
arp headstuds

trans:
awd wagovan
competition clutch stage 5 hd
rear end is solid mounted so no worries there

turbo setup:
JM Fabrications stainless manifold
Garrett GT2781r turbo (with 4" intake) 3" .63ar vband exh housing
aem air filter
3" downpipe
3" exhaust
3" magnaflow muffler
backdoor intercooler
Tial 44mm wastegate (holds boost perfectly)
Tial 50mm bov

Fluidyne half rad

Suspension:
skunk2 springs
agx shocks (rides like its on rails!)

Wheels:
repainted 99 gsr wheels
tires have 70% tread

Interior:
sparco steering wheel

Now no used car is perfect and neither is this one
body problems:
both lower front quarters are primed black from a shop doing body work to fix the rust, this needs redone and painted to be 100%
front bumper has a "slice" in it

motor problems:
oil pan has a leak

mechanically its 100% sound and I would trust it go anywhere , I have driven it about 1,000 miles now without a problem.

if you want vids go search google, youtube etc for epic tuning awd hatch

some recent pictures

(These are pictures i took from the last for sale thread. Car still looks 100% same except for the honda sticker on the back window)

took these shots off epic tunings website---

So it looks like the bottem end is built up a bit now. May be a dumb question but, any idea if this thing is still capable of decent gas mileage? I'm keeping my eye out for a new daily driver...

just a question about the wagovan AWD setup (not the car itself): how well does it perform on a track? and is it comparable to stock AWD cars? what's the power distribution? 50F/50R?

i averaged 30mpg with this vehicle

and the power is mostly front untill it spins and then transferred to the rear, can launch in first gear without a traction problem
