Default Un-Tinting DA Lights

When I got my new DA the blinkers, corners, and taillights were tinted. It was spray tint, not film. I used paint stripper to remove the tint on the blinkers and corner lights and it looks good. (I will try to post pics later). I was thinking about using paint stripper to remove the tint from the taillights but before I do that, can the paint stripper ruin the lights? I haven't noticed it on the blinkers or corners but want to make sure before I tackle the taillights since they are more noticeable.

The thinner will start to dissolve the plastic if you leave it on there for a long time. You'll get a slightly hazy lens (which can be fixed by some buffing).

The best way is to lightly soak a clean rag with some thinner and wipe it across the lens. Keep the rag moist with the thinner and just keep wiping across the lens evenly. Don't keep wiping the same spot over and over, but wipe evenly across the lens. This will take longer, but you'll save yourself buffing time later. After the tint is all gone rinse it with clean water, dry and polish the lens with a low cut buffing pad and a good plastic polishing compound (headlight lens restoration kits will also work, see http://www.autogeek.net/headlight-lens.html). Top it off with some vinyl/plastic protectant or glaze (I recommend 303 aerospace protectant )

good ideas. Im just wondering if I should. What are your guys opinions on the lights?

I can do tinted, no tint with amber turn signals, or no tint and clear turn signals. Which one is the best looking and which one is "JDM"? Just looking for a few opinions.

JDM would be if ou got taillights that came on a Japanese Integra from the factory.

I'd say remove it all or get some replacements. It'd suck to clean them off and either damage the lenses or find out they look nasty inside (as a lot of older taillights tend to).

i think the black looks okay. the white top red bottoms look real good on red tegs. i really dont like the amber piece on red tegs though. do what you think is the best, not what any of us think, and not whats "JDM"
