Question On Installing RSX Seats in 1998 Coupe
I have a chance to get a set of RSX leather seats for pretty cheap and I'm wondering how hard it would be to install them into my 1998 coupe? Can I just take out my seats and swap the rails or does it take any sort of modifications to get them to fit?
to get them to fit, I cut and rewelded the front mounting tabs. Took a couple hours for the first seat to get it to sit right, second seat only took an hour. The inside rear tab lines up fine, the outside rear tab is large enough that you can just redrill a new hole in it.
swapping the rails is the other option but i prefer keeping the rails/seats intact and the way they came from the factory.

I'm pretty sure you can't swap the rails... custom fabrication/welding is the only way...
Thanks for the input guys but it turns out I'm not getting the seats. I was going to pick them up from a junkyard that has a wrecked RSX but the guy called me later in the day after he went and looked at them and said that they'd sold the doors and the car was parked on a corner so every time someone went around the corner in their lot they shot dirt all into the car and it ruined the seats. It sucks too because if they weren't ruined by the dirt I was going to get them for wicked cheap.
i'm not sure if you can swap out the bottom pans and rails on those
but that's what i did with my s2k seats
i put full delsol rails and pan on them
you should look into it was fairly easy just time consuming pulling all the hogrings off and changing over but it's very legit now and all bolts line up as if they came stock in it.
