Default Question On Installing RSX Seats in 1998 Coupe

I have a chance to get a set of RSX leather seats for pretty cheap and I'm wondering how hard it would be to install them into my 1998 coupe? Can I just take out my seats and swap the rails or does it take any sort of modifications to get them to fit?

to get them to fit, I cut and rewelded the front mounting tabs. Took a couple hours for the first seat to get it to sit right, second seat only took an hour. The inside rear tab lines up fine, the outside rear tab is large enough that you can just redrill a new hole in it.
swapping the rails is the other option but i prefer keeping the rails/seats intact and the way they came from the factory.

I'm pretty sure you can't swap the rails... custom fabrication/welding is the only way...

Thanks for the input guys but it turns out I'm not getting the seats. I was going to pick them up from a junkyard that has a wrecked RSX but the guy called me later in the day after he went and looked at them and said that they'd sold the doors and the car was parked on a corner so every time someone went around the corner in their lot they shot dirt all into the car and it ruined the seats. It sucks too because if they weren't ruined by the dirt I was going to get them for wicked cheap.

i'm not sure if you can swap out the bottom pans and rails on those
but that's what i did with my s2k seats
i put full delsol rails and pan on them
you should look into it was fairly easy just time consuming pulling all the hogrings off and changing over but it's very legit now and all bolts line up as if they came stock in it.

They were gonna be like $50-75 each for the leather ones.

I actually just made a deal with a guy from my state to pick up a set of red Recaro's off of him on Saturday that he had listed in the marketplace so I'll be installing those instead. It's the first good thing that's happened to me today after finding out that the RSX seats I thought I was getting were ruined by them having the doors sold and mud getting all over the interior and then that the same RSX motor was a base K20 instead of the Type-S and the junkyard was willing to cut the car off right after the shifter and sell me the whole front clip with the motor and everything for only $1500. I thought I had found a hell of a deal and finally found my motor but it turns out it wasn't what I wanted.
