d15b7 swap.Idle hunt.Help!!
i previously had a 1.8 in my 94 coupe but swapped out to a stock b7 auto. Now that the engine is in i have some idling issues. So i decided to remove the tb and iacv off the 1.8 engine in hopes that would solve my problem. But nope still no luck.Could there still be air in mysystem from the engine swap.If i was to top the rad up(assuming it was low) would that make it go away.It is getting to be an annoyance!!Thanks in advance!!
I will check the vacumm hoses now and bleed the system/top it up.Im frightened to death i will start twisting off bolts on the fitv then im fu*ked. So that will be my last resort.Quick question if i was to have a leaky tb to im gasket what would occour??
thanks for the feedback btw
thanks for the feedback btw
on the tb there are 2 holes on the bottom one put ur finger to cover it see wat happens if this the pro cover it and elimate the fast iddle but first is first have u messed with the tps
I've done a bit of reasearch, turns out the tb's are pretty much completly different. The diameter where the intake goes on over is way smaller on a d and the ports are in different positions causing my car to have a bad vaccum leak.I checked the fitv earlier today when the car was surging with no difference. Then i decided to put my finger over the tb port. The car idled right down to id say 6-700(estimate) no tach.Im not completly sure but by doing that isnt your car supposed to like shut off, given you have the correct tb on the car.I am going to pic up the right tb and gasket the week and see hwat happens.
