Default ef/da front subframe interchangeable?

So, before anyone as my any questions about why.

I picked up an EF Hatch for cheep and it has a bent sub frame (I think). The front wheels are sitting farther back in the wheel well then they should. However, i do have a wrecked DA that i already plan on using most of the suspension and brake stuff off of however im not sure if the dx manual steering rack will bolt into the da front sub frame or if it will even mount up i plan on running DA lca and uca (yes i know this pushes the stance out more) so basically does anybody know if this will work/has anyone else tried this.

lol wut

In all seriousness, you should really look into if the subframe is actually bent. What happened to the car? If it went head on over a curb it's probably just the lca's. I'm fairly certian the subframes do not match up.

haha i will the car did hit a curb im not really sure how hard, but the wheels are sitting back on both sides thats what was making me think it was the sub frame i will get under it today or tomorrow depending on weather conditions and i agree after looking some more at the da sub frame i do think there different...

ims more likely that the unibody is bent, the front lower cross member (or the subframe) cant really bend in a way that will move the wheels back. They do have a tendency to get pushed back in front end collisions, but like i said that because the uni-body bends about dead center line with the front wheels. if you take a look on your car behind your wheels, look for a spot where i marked for cracked paint or no dirt.

And no a DA cross member has a different bolt pattern. LCA's dont matter in this case because they mount up to the rear cross member.

I am working on an EF sedan in a similar situation.

In my case the subframe is bent in the top mark in the above photo.

I have replaced LCA, strut bar, and radius rod. At this point only one hold on the radius rod lines up with the LCA bolt hole.

I would like to see if its good enough to get it aligned so I can just sell or trade it as is.

The subframe area that mounts to the LCA is what is bent. Both ends are pushed toward the rear of the car. My friend said he would loan me a reverse vice grip (I don't know the right term for it I am pretty new to working on cars)

This would at least allow me to open up the LCA mounting point on the subframe to the correct width.

not my car

this is basically how it looks although mine is not as bad it is pushed back on both sides but one side is worse then the other.

i will look into the front uni body although it wasn't in a front end collision just run into a curb and of the road into black berry bushes once (previous owner told me this) face palm
